Each of us when do travelling we want to looking for something. Whether it is recreration, escaping from the noisy of the city, enjoy nature in silence, even some of us want to go alone to find inner peace in one place. If you are that person, may this recomendation of these places will help you to find the inner peace. All of these places located in Central Java Province. Here are the list.

1. Borobudur Temple

Borobudur temple is a place of worship for Buddhists. This temple is a preserved heritage by UNESCO. Supported by outdoor conditions dominated by green grass, trees, and park. View of Borobudur Temple, which blends with Menoreh hills covered in mist, further enhances yoga activities. 

Yoga means "union with nature" or "union with Creator". Yoga activities are carried out in order to have a calm and peaceful soul, keep the body is health and fit, also make the mind relax. This activity can be found in the reliefs of Lalitavistara Borobudur Temple. 

There is an educational message sculpted in the reliefs of Lalitavistara Borobudur Temple about meditation. This yoga activities is located in Dagi Abhinaya area. Wow, you can have your meditation , got your inner peace, and new knowledge at the same time ! That's a total package.

2. Telaga Sunyi (Quiet Lake)

As the name implies, this lake is a quiet and silent. Covered with the cool air and surrounded by nature that makes this place still pristine and natural. Here, you can find footpaths with beautiful  scenery such as clean creeks and beautiful rice fields.

If you like it, you can swim here or just taking picture with beautiful nature view as a background. Do not forget to bring your underwater camera! Telaga Sunyi or Quiet Lake is often used as a place to meditate or be alone. Because of these reasons, many tourists come to this lake to find the inner peace. You will have clearer mind, then you can more enjoy God's creation.

3. Sam Poo Kong Temple

It is a place you must visit when you come to Semarang which is a capital city in Central Java Province. This temple is so interesting to be visited because the architecture is a chinese style. When you enter this place, you will be presented by Admiral Cheng Ho' history. He is a chinese explorer as warlord Chinese envoy of Persian descent has an Islamic background.

The core building of this temple is a stone cave. It is believed to be starting point for landing and Admiral  Cheng Ho's headquarters and his men while visiting Java. The unique thing in here is it provides Chinese warrior-style clothing. Very Interesting !

Sam Poo Kong is a temple where Tridharma teaches (Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism). Also, there is a mosque in the Sam Poo Kong Temple area.  It is not only being a historical tourist spot, but also show diversity and culture of tolerance in Indonesia in respecting differences.

4. Gedong Songo Temple

It is located in Candi Village, Bandungan District. It takes 1,5 hours journey by car from Semarang City which is capital city in Central Java. That's a good choice to escape from the noisy of the city!

When you arrive, you will be welcomed by fresh mountain air with thick fog and a sun hiding. This place is calm and silent, even you can hear the sound of water splashing and birdsong very clear in your ears. It is suitable for you who are looking for meditation and contemplation.

This temple is located in Ungaran Mountain, not only in one spot but also spread in several spots in same area. You need to go hiking or horse riding to see all of parts of the temple. But the scenery surrounding will accompany you, so that you won't feel bored and tired. In addition, you can enjoy yoga activities, natural hot spring, and pine trees.

5. Buddhagaya Watugong Monastery

Located in Pundakpayung area, Banyumanik District in Semarang City. It takes 45 minutes journey from the central town. This monastery has a lot of statues of Gods and Goddesses, all of parts inside the monastery are well organized and neat combined with the beauty of environment. In addition, Boddhi trees are planted here. 

Buddhagaya Watugong Monastery offers a lot of history and a good place to have rest and worship God especially for Buddhist. This monastery is the highest in Indonesia approx. 45 meters. Then, the most well-known icon here is Goddess of Kwan Im statue which has height approx. 5 meters. It is a must in your travel list ! You won't be disappointed.

6. Sunan Muria's Tomb

The tomb of Sunan Muria is at the top of Muria Mountain which is included in the area of Colo village, Dawe District, Kudus Regency. Sunan Muria is a son of King of Sunan Kalijaga based on Java Province Kingdom's history. During his lifetime, he preferred to stay on the mountain because it was quieter and far from disturbances.

Sunan is a title for the king who must be glorified and respected in Central Java custom. Surely, the tombs of the king are buried in secret places. So that, it won't be disturbed by irresponsible people. But Sunan Muria's is the most famous tomb to be visited by tourist who wants to study history and find inner peace. Because Sunan Muria's Tomb is located in mountain area, you have to be in perfect health condition when reach the top.

7. Agung Giri Nata Temple

This temple was built in 1968, one of the most exotic architecture in Indonesia. Agung Giri Natha Temple is the largest temple in Semarang city. The construction of this temple is carried out by Hindus who are domiciled in Semarang city. When you visit this temple, you will see the unique things, in middle area as a place for teaching and learning processes, discussions, and other social activities.

Not only as the place of worship for Hindus, but also as the place to practice yoga and study dance by tourist and residents. The atmosphere here will remind you of Bali! Although Hindus are minority in Indonesia, but every time when Hindus make events here, people from all religions help each other. That's so sweet !
